Vettaikaran-Review

After 3 consecutive flops-Azhagiya tamil magan, kuruvi and villu 'ilayadhalapathi' vijay is back with "Vettaikaran'' written and directed by babu shivan.

Its a one man show of vijay.Nothing new in the story or screenplay. Its reharsh of old vijay hits like thiruppachi, ghilli etc.But the direction is racy. So,the audience wont feel bored and lengthy even though its almost 3 hrs. There is no separate comedy track of vadivelu or vivek. Its handled by vijay itself.First 1 hour is packed with 2 songs,vijay-anushka combination scenes, vijay's comedy etc..After 1 hr,the action starts..Anushka doesnt have anything much to do,compared to her previous hit 'arundhathi'.

The other supporting artists like salim ghouse, sreehari, cochin haneefa, sukumari have limited roles to play...but the girl who played 'uma',vijay's classmate is really promising...

Songs-All the 5 songs are hummable and vijay's dance and anushka's glmaour have given more life to them...

Overall-Vijay fans:go and enjoy for 3 hrs....
